I think I found my plot.
Or a fair chunk of it, at the very least.
This is a Good Thing.
Regular readers of these entries will know that I’ve been anxious to start the actual drafting of this novel. After some of the discoveries I made last week–not the least of which included finding my plot–I think I might actually be ready to begin. I’ve started naming my characters, which has become a traditional final preparatory step for me. Once everyone is properly christened, we’re off to the races.
And you know what that means: yes folks, Magic Meter will soon be making its reappearance in this space. Been too long, hasn’t it?
The heart starts to race a little bit at this point. Always, that mixture of anticipation and anxiety. Always, the questions: can I really do this? Am I ready? Is it going to suck swamp water?
Well, you know. Maybe. One way to find out for sure.
But I found my plot, anyway.
Just one update for Write Club: a tier one rejection from The Pedestal. Response time, about 5 weeks.
I’m out.
