Real World disruption continued throughout last week, leading me to consider some words of wisdom from Soundgarden:
Still inching along with the read-through of Wet Work, seeing opportunities to cut and condense my first act, which is a Good Thing. It needs some trimming.
I also managed to send out a few more novel queries. Also a Good Thing.
And the (vastly overrated) Real World is finally retreating to the vile hole it crawled from, enabling me to begin reclaiming my life. So I got that going for me. Which is nice.
In the not-so-good news, one Write Club update–a tier one reject from Shock Totem. Response time, about four weeks.
Oh, and Launch Pad turned me down, too.
So our tally for the week is as follows: Good Things 3, Bad Things 2. A narrow victory, but a victory nonetheless.
