I’m kind of cheating a little bit here, since for reasons too complicated to go into, I’m counting some writing I’ve done today. Just trust me on this; I have a good rationalization reason for it.
Anyway, I revised four chapters of Petra Released last week. Here’s Magic Meter:
Doing a lot of cutting in these initial chapters, which can only be a good thing. I’m also, as discussed last week, skipping over the chapters pertaining to that troublesome but self-contained subplot. The wisdom of this course of action becomes more plain every day. Those chapters are going to demand a lot of me, and I still haven’t found my rewrite rhythm yet. But it’s coming back to me, bit by bit.
I still have another chapter to do today, so I’m cutting this short. You are excused for breathing a sigh of relief.
No updates for Write Club.
And I’m out.
