Still reading novel excerpts. Four down, three to go.
Also trying to figure out what my next novel project will be. I’m done working on Petra for the time being, at least until someone out there in the biz shows some interest in it. Wet Work also has series possibilities–but again, no sequels for the time being. That means the next novel will have to be some totally new project. I’ve been rummaging through the attic of my imagination, searching through some old dusty idea boxes for possible inspiration. I caught a glimmer of something that might be valuable, a premise I thought I might someday trot out for a short story. Maybe there’s a novel there.
Or maybe not. It might just be a shiny but worthless trinket. I’ve taken it out of the box for now. I’ll give it closer inspection after the holidays.
Anyway, back to reading and rummaging.
