Halloween Song of the Day: “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”

In the spirit of the season, here’s your Halloween Song of the Day, which I cheerfully sang to my self as I put up the pumpkin lights:

Progress Report, in which fun and frivolity are recounted

Back from MileHiCon, the last stop on the 2013 Rotundo World Tour, where much fun and frivolity were had.  How much fun and frivolity?  Why, just read on.

There were panels.  I sang the praises of Odyssey, trashed and somewhat redeemed J.J. Abrams, waxed rhapsodic about movie music (see what I did there?), and recounted favorite scenes from fiction and movies I have loved.  I also heard a stunning reading by Van Aaron Hughes.  Seriously, when his story “Seven Tips to Enjoy Your Time in the Unreal Forest” comes out in Intergalactic Medicine Show, check it out.  For realz, people.

There was karaoke. I sang.  A lot.  Shocker, I know.

There were parties. The Redneck Firepit burned proudly once more.  Eventually.  Once we got it lit.

There were friends old and new. I even chatted up Guest of Honor Seanan McGuire, who is extraordinarily groovy.  But you knew that.

There was sleep deprivation. Because no one wants the party to end.

There was much writerly productivity. Actually, there wasn’t much of this.  But wouldn’t it have been cool?

See?  Fun!  And frivolity!  MileHiCon is just plain awesome, and you should go next year.

Meanwhile, I’m once again back in the Vastly Overrated Real World, and I have some work to do.  So let’s get to it, shall we?

No updates for Write Club.

Laterz.
