That’s pretty funny. Of course Lennon’s talent had nothing to do with it, right? The only thing I find odd about The Beatles huge success is that two supremely talented guys–Lennon and McCartney–grew up together and became friends, started at band, etc. Perhaps it was something in the water. 😉
I’ve been saying it for a while now, but What has the world come to when we’re down to two Beatles? And all the Rolling Stones (save Brian Wilson) are alive last I checked. Life is strange.
Don’t overlook George Harrison, though. Guy was a great guitarist, and largely underrated.

When I was a wee lad during the height of the British invasion and a huge Beatles fan, I asked my Aunt Bobo (our nickname for her as we couldn’t say Betty when learning to speak) who the leader of The Bealtes was? She said, “Why Ringo, of course. Everyone knows that!” Obviously my Aunt Bobo got it wrong. *hee*
