Two more chapters complete on Phase II of the Petra Released rewrite–one difficult, one easy. Magic Meter say:
Two and half more chapters to go. The first should be relatively easy; the second involves a massive overhaul. Not looking forward to it. The half chapter probably won’t be that bad.
On the positive side, am pleased to report that I’ve managed to cut a fair amount out of this novel so far, and I believe more cuts are forthcoming. When it’s all said and done, it should come out to 10K+ words excised, or 10%. Ken Rand would be proud.
After this, Petra Released goes in a drawer for a long time.
